This week has seemed really short for some reason, I’m not sure why. We all came down with a cold towards the end of the week which wasn’t fun, but in the spirit of Happy Days, I’m sure I can still find lots of positive things to share!
- Last Saturday me, Ernie and my sister Rachael headed off to the baby and toddler show at Sandown Park. I really enjoyed it and it was a great chance to see some of my favourite brands like Cosatto and Connecta, as well as discovering some new loves like Rockin’ Baby. The joggers that I got Ernie are my new favourite thing to put him in and I wish he could wear them every day. I loved it so much that I did a little post and a video all about it. I really enjoyed making the video, even if it is a bit rubbish and the 5 people who have viewed it are probably all related to me!
- Talking of my sister, I’m also pretty damn proud of her this week because she has designed an awesome tote bag and put them on sale! I love them because they are bright and colourful and because they say Mama on, and I’m a sucker for anything that says Mama! You can buy them from her website if you want to be bag twinsies with me (who wouldn’t?).
- On Monday we found out Mabel has got a place at our first choice primary school. It was great to know, but has only intensified my worries to be honest as Mabel is still pretty insistent that she doesn’t want to go to school without Mummy. We are going to wait and see how it pans out over the next couple of months before we make any decisions, but I have found a local home education group to meet up with to see if that might be a better option for us at the moment. The great thing is that everyone we know got their first choice school as well, and we are absolutely thrilled for them all.
- On Tuesday we had a family photoshoot in the Bluebell woods. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see how the pictures turn out. I booked it mainly to get some nice pictures of me with the kids and all of us together, which we never manage to get by ourselves. I also wanted some breastfeeding photos of me and Ernie, since he’s my last baby and I feel sad when I think about never feeding a baby again and this time of my life coming to an end. The funny thing that has never happened before is I felt jealous of the photographer and was wishing I had my camera with me the whole time we were there! I’m really getting into photography more and more and I’m starting to realise that it doesn’t matter how technically good my photos are, the main thing is that I’m enjoying it and I’m loving the process. I think we need to get out for a bluebell walk soon, so I can have a go at taking my own pictures. The more I practice, the better I’ll get!
